Who Really has Their Finger on the Button?

Biden Harris

Joe Biden awkwardly fumbled with notes in his suit jacket pocket to answer a reporter’s question on something he was briefed on just moments before getting off Air Force One.  While visiting King Orchard Pie Shop in Central Lake, Michigan, Biden was asked by a reporter about the recent hacks and if they were from the Russians.

The 78-year-old president, however, cut off the reporter, saying U.S. intelligence is not sure if the hack came from the Kremlin.  He then proceeded to read from a paper that he pulled out of his pocket, saying: “The idea – first of all we’re not sure who it is for certain, number one. And what I did, I directed the full resources of the government to assist in a response if we determine…directed the intelligence community to give me a deep dive on what’s happened. I’ll know better tomorrow”.  This latest gaffe comes amongst a string of misspeaks since being inaugurated. He has referred to Kamala Harris as President Harris.  During the recent G7, he constantly mixed-up Libya and Syria.  He has forgotten his Defense Secretary’s name.  He has fallen going up Air Force One’s steps.

Then we have Kamala Harris and her Joker laugh.  When asked tough questions by journalists, Kamala’s first response is a ragged cackle.   Inside the National Command Center, we have Joe Biden who may not on any given moment know exactly where he is and maybe even who he is.  Seated next to him, is someone with an unpredictable Joker laugh.  In front of them both is a blinking button with the word “press” on it.  When the stress ramps up and that startling cackle rips out through the silent room, what is a confused Joe Biden going to do?  I can tell you what he is going to want to do.  He’s going to want to push that blinking button.

The people surrounding both Joe and Kamala knew before they ran that they were not intellectually and emotionally capable of serving in their offices.  So, who really is in charge and has their finger on the button in Washington DC?
